My first steps into the world of HTML; 31st July 2025.

It might sound like a small thing but today I wrote and ran my very first HTML code. And I did it inside my university’s lab, during an Application Development Practice (ADP) lecture.

The class was led by Ms. Aparupa Chakraborty, and to be honest, I didn’t expect such a simple code to give me that kind of excitement. We opened up our editors, typed in the most basic structure of an HTML page, and the moment I saw my name and image pop up on the browser… it just hit different. I had created something with code. It felt real.

There’s a unique feeling when something you’ve only read or heard about finally comes to life on your own screen. I titled it “Hi I am Shreyas  This is my Blog” and even added an image and a link to my blog “Journey”. That moment, seeing it all work, made me feel like I had officially stepped into the world of web development.

We initially got to learn about the basics like how to add titles and headings, how to create paragraphs and how to change the fonts and colour of the text.

I also had some knowledge about html from before so I added some of my own things like inserting a image and a link to my blog.

It’s the beginning of a journey, for sure a small step, but one I won’t forget. Shoutout to Ms. Aparupa for making it feel so effortless and exciting.
